This Is the End (2013)

The Last Duel (2021)

synopsis

The Last Duel, based on actual events, explores the final authorized duel in France between once-friends-turned-adversaries Jean de Carrouges (Matt Damon) and Jacques Le Gris (Adam Driver). Le Gris, a Norman squire who is one of the most esteemed and learned nobles at court, is a Norman squire who is superior to Carrouges in talent and reputation.

Birdy's eligibility, in the eyes of her father Sir Rollo (Andrew Scott), will save his family from financial catastrophe. However, Birdy isn't exactly eager to give up her magnificent freedom and independence and get married off to some dunderhead. Particularly as the suitors begin to show up, her bullheadedness puts her and her parents at odds.

Ambulance (2022)

synopsis

Ambulance is a surprisingly high-octane thriller that manages to grip you despite its Michael Bay chase movie set in an ambulance. Veteran Will Sharp (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) is fighting to make ends meet and pay for his wife's medical expenses. 

In his desperation, he contacts Donny, his adopted brother, and career criminal, the one person he knows he shouldn't (Jake Gyllenhaal). Naturally, Donny has a plan to assist. The largest bank theft in Los Angeles history also happens to be a part of it.

Goodnight Mommy (2022)

In this adaptation of the same-titled 2014 Austrian psychological thriller, Naomi Watts plays the lead role. At their mother's (Watts') rural house, twin boys Elias and Lucas (Cameron and Nicholas Crovetti) discover their mother's face wrapped in bandages following a recent cosmetic procedure. The boys know something is amiss since their father, Peter Hermann, didn't comment on this. 

In addition to smoking in the restroom and covertly tearing up a sketch the boys gave her, Mother has instituted some bizarre new home rules. The boys start to wonder if the lady behind the bandages is really their mother as her conduct becomes more and more unpredictable.
